US woman shocked to find post-surgery boobs online after googling name
NEW YORK: A school counsellor from Georgia, was left shell-shocked after she googled her name and saw snaps of her breasts before and after undergoing reduction surgery posted at a clinic's website. She said that the Marietta Plastic Surgery clinichas caused her "extreme embarrassment" and "humiliation" and is now worried that they've been seen by parents, students or administrators, the New York Daily News reported. 

The woman told WSB Channel 2 News that she decided to have the surgery after she suffered excruciating pain in her neck and shoulders.

US man faces jail for laughing too loud

NEW YORK: A laugh riot may land you in jail! A US man is facing 30 days in jail or USD 500 fine for laughing too loud in his own home.


Forty-two-year old Robert Schiavelli of Rockville Centre, New York received the tickets for "disturbing the peace" on consecutive days in February after police responded to a neighbour's complaints that his laughter could be heard across the street. 

Schiavelli, who suffers from neurological problems and seizures was recently slapped with two "absurd" summonses after his next-door neighbour complained, 'New York Post' reported.

US man accuses girlfriend of 'stealing' sperm

WASHINGTON: In a bizarre case, a man in the US is suing a fertility clinic and an ex-girlfriend forstealing his sperm and then conceiving a child without his permission.


Layne Hardin from Louisiana is suing the fertility clinic and his ex-girlfriend Toby Devall after the sperm bank handed over two vials of his sperm in a "paper lunch sack" to her and then conceived a child without his permission, his lawyer Cade Bernsenlawyer said. 

Lawyer Bernsen accuses Devall of having "bluffed her way into getting the sperm" and created a baby without ex-boyfriend Hardin's consent "purposefully out of vindictiveness and to punish him for breaking up with her."

Burberry CEO and Indiana native, Angela Ahrendts, is now the highest-paid executive in Britain, according to a survey from Manifest, a British corporate governance group and pay consultancy firm MM&K, cited by the Guardian. At 16.9 million pounds, Ahrendts’ pay package is almost 5 million pounds more than the next highest paid British executive, according to the Guardian.

While Ahrendts’ achievement marks a significant step forward for high-powered women on either side of the pond, woman in both countries still face many obstacles to reaching Ahrendts’ position. In Britain, Ahrendts is one of just three female CEOsrunning the country’s top companies. In the U.S., women make up just 4 percent of the CEOs at S&P 500 companies.

Despite Ahrendts’ position as one of the few females at the top of the corporate ladder, she’s opposed potential policy changes that could help other British women get there.Ahrendts said last year that she isn’t in favor of quotas that would mandate a certain number of women be present on company boards, according to the Telegraph.

“Just put the best person into the job. It is not about gender, it is about experience, leadership and vision. A man could do this job,” she said.

US job openings slip in April, hiring rises

WASHINGTON: US employers advertised fewer jobs in April, but overall hiring rose and the number of people quitting their jobs increased.
The Labor department says job openings fell 3% to a seasonally adjusted 3.75 million.
Total hiring jumped nearly 5% to 4.4 million. And the number of people quitting their jobs increased 7.2% to 2.25 million.
Most workers quit jobs when they have a new position or are confident they can find one. More quits are therefore a good sign.
The job market is very competitive for those looking for work. There were 3.1 unemployed workers, on average, for each open job in April. In a healthy economy, the ratio is 2 to 1.

Waze finally has a buyer. that it had bought Waze, a social GPS mapping app that specializes in real-time crowd-sourced traffic.The price was not disclosed but a report on Monday in The New York Times put the number at more than $1 billion."We’re excited about the prospect of enhancing Google Maps with some of the traffic update features provided by Waze and enhancing Waze with Google’s search capabilities," Brian McClendon, Google's vice president of Geo, wrote in a blog post announcing the acquisition.Waze's product development team will stay in Israel, where the company, now based in Palo Alto, Calif., was founded.Wazers, as they're called, alert each other to accidents, road closures and other things that would potentially slow down traffic. According to The New York Times, Waze says it has 47 million global users.Waze is a free app that makes money from location-based advertising. Techcrunch reported in January that the company's 2012 revenue was less than $1 million.Both Apple and Facebook were reportedly interested in buying Waze. Google's purchase now keeps those rivals away from the app.

US woman stabs boyfriend to death with stiletto heel

HOUSTON: A 44-year-old woman in the US has fatally stabbed her boyfriend to death with astiletto high heel after an argument. 
Houston Police charged Ana Trujillo with murder by high heels. Trujillo reportedly told investigators that she stabbed the man in self-defense. 
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, Houston Police department said in a statement. 
Police said they responded to a report of an assault at the Parklane high-rise condominium complex in Houston's Theatre District on early Sunday. 
Trujillo opened the door for police, who discovered the man's body on the floor, the statement said.

US justice department confirms criminal leak investigation

WASHINGTON: The US justice department is in the initial stages of a criminal investigation into the unauthorized disclosure of secret information following leaks that revealed the extent of US surveillance, spokeswoman Nanda Chitre said on Sunday. 

Prosecutors will decline further comment, Chitre said in an email the same day that EdwardSnowden, a former CIA employee, revealed he was the source of leaks to Britain's Guardian newspaper.
